I know, I know… we were just talking about new Refillable Resort Mugs hitting the shelves at a few Walt Disney World Resort counter service locations last week. BUT…
Those new Mickey Mouse Refillable Resort Mugs already have a new neighbor on the shelf — at least, that’s the case at Art of Animation Resort’s Landscape of Flavors Food Court. You see, along with the new Mickey Refillable Mugs, the bottom shelf has a new mug featuring Pixar pals!
Lightning McQueen, Buzz Lightyear, Nemo and Dory and more can be spotted on this most recent addition.
You may notice from the picture of the shelf above that Landscape of Flavors still has the previous design featuring the Fab Five arriving at Walt Disney World on hand as well (at least, for now).
But is this new Pixar arrival in addition to the Mickey mug a sign that even more Resort Refillable Mug designs are on the way?
In speaking with management, they could not confirm. And as of press time, it is not yet known how many Disney World hotels have either or both of the new designs available. So we would love it if you could let us know what you happen to find if you find yourself in a Walt Disney World resort hotel anytime soon!
And we’d also like to know… if given the choice between the new Mickey mug or the Pixar mug, which would you choose 🙂 ?

Totally bummed! We just got home from Art of Animation on March 5th and they only had the old design during our stay. I would have LOVED to get the Pixar cups for myself and my family!!
Bonnie Gargano says
It depends on the design and how it appeals to me. I might opt for the Pixar just because I have so many of the others. Hazard of being a Disney addict and going each year. I would like the choice of the handle or no handle. I know there was a lot of controversy over that but I prefer the no handle version!!
Mel says
Pixar cup!! Great to see the colored handles are back! So much easier track which mug is yours. ?
Nora says
I will be there April 29 th , I hope they have both of them available, I will get one of each . The 6 year olds love the Pixar movies. Hopefully Port Orleans French Quarter will be well stocked with both styles.
Katherine says
I live them both, however, I would really appreciate the choice of one without a handle. For me, it works better!
Sandy says
I love the Mickey mug. It so brings back my childhood.
Julie says
Mickey, definitely!! That being said…
I have sooo many Disney mugs from previous trips, and the resorts don’t have recycling bins to toss them at checkout. The tiny computer chip embedded in the base further complicates recycling at home.
Rather than amassing more cups, I found out last year that I can have an old mug reactivated by paying the regular length of stay price for a new mug, but not having to deal with more stuff to bring home!
Unfortunately, not every cast member at the food courts seems to know about this option, so you may need to ask around, or get a manager, to reactivate that chip. (BTW, please don’t do this during peak meal times when the cashiers are already busy!)
I don’t know how many times I can reactivate one, (I think I’m going on round 3 with this set of mugs) but as long as I pay the going price for each as if I bought a new mug each trip, why pile up more plastic for the landfills?
…But gee, the new ones are awfully cute!
Lori says
I am also excited to see they are coming out with new designs of refillable mugs. I would like to collect both designs.
Hey Julie, you could donate your extra mugs to a children’s hospital or other organization that it would bring joy to others. I am not sure though if the chip inside them would be an issue or not since they get deactivated.
Jessica says
Pixar looks wayyyy better. I was really disappointed with the new Mickey design. I hope they have the Pixar mugs at Wilderness Lodge at the end of April!
