This Sunday, March 31st, brings the debut of a new attraction to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will welcome rookie racers to learn a thing or two about the rules of the road from none other than Lightning McQueen from Cars!

Disney has revealed a new look at Lightning in his new home in Hollywood Studios.

Guests will see Lightning McQueen live on stage during the 10-minute show. Lightning will also get by with a little help from his friends including Mater, Cruz Ramirez and other pals from Radiator Springs. Wanna take another peek? Check out Disney’s video below!
And don’t forget… Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy isn’t the only new Cars fun coming to Hollywood Studios this weekend. DJ’s Ready! Set! Party Time! will also make its debut on Sunday in the courtyard outside of the Racing Academy. Guests can meet Piston Cup champion Cruz Ramirez and have some dance party fun several times throughout the day.

This show is only 10 minutes long? If that’s the case, I can understand why there is no fast pass for it. However, since it’s new, I know there will be long lines to get in and see this show. I don’t understand why Disney built a whole auditorium for a 10 minute show?? Maybe I’m reading it wrong.? Please advise me about that. Thanks!

I so need to get myself over to the States so I can check this out! I’m a huge fan of Lightning but I’m an even bigger Owen Wilson fan – they cast him so perfectly in this role!
