Tom N. says
I see on the WDW site that EPCOT’s hours are just 9am-10pm (mostly) at this point. No difference between Future World and World Showcase. Is this a new thing, maybe due to closures, that it’s just ‘one park’ where everything opens at 9, is that true?
WDW hours also say Food and Wine festival starts at 9am — is that also true, the food booths will open at 9? I was there last year, and World Showcase (usually) opened later, like 11.30, I think, along with the food booths.
Just trying to figure out when the booths will be serving food this year. 🙂 Anyone?
Shelley says
This is awesome. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for orienting the map with how you enter the park! The official maps drive me nuts b/c to me they’re upside down. This is great!
Hope Garnett says
No Light Lab this year??
DFB Sarah says
Hope, that’s correct.
DFB Sarah says
Tom N., we expect food booths will open at 11AM as per usual, but if we hear anything different, we’ll update ASAP. World Showplace will likely open at 9AM (as the Festival Center used to do), so perhaps that’s the reason for listing 9AM on the calendar.
Ed says
I’m disappointed that Poland is not here again. I really the apple drink!
DFB Sarah says
Ed, the Frozen Apple Pie drink is at Appleseed Orchards this year!
Stephanie says
I would like to know how to get a epcot pass for the food fest time frame since I am not a Disney pass holder and if this is possible how much it would be.
Carrie says
We always enjoyed the Festival Center in the old Wonders of Life building. We didn’t do seminars, but we enjoyed walking around and shopping in there. Have they done away with it now that Epcot is refurbishing so much?
DFB Sarah says
Carrie, right. The Wonders of Life pavilion is being reworked into a new pavilion for the future, so presumably they couldn’t use it as a Festival Center this year. World Showplace appears to be the go-to location for things that were in Festival Center, and the O Canada theater will be open for folks to cool down, according to Disney.
DFB Sarah says
Stephanie, guests attending Food and Wine need a regular Epcot admission ticket, and the food booth offerings are an additional cost.
Stephanie says
How much extra is the food and wine festival
Dorothy Jones says
Time can’t pass slower until 29th of August… Only 1 month and 25 days. Any suggestions regarding what to try out?
DFB Sarah says
Dorothy, we will put together our Best of the Fest post on August 29 when we’ve tried all the food booth items, but in the meantime, you can peruse the 2018 Best of the Fest, which has some returning items for this year, too! Click here.
Linda Dunlap says
AJ made a quick comment about a promo where, if you buy cheese items, you get a free piece of cheesecake. Anyone know the details?
DFB Sarah says
Linda, I it’s Emile’s Fromage Montage.
Amelia Tessy says
I understand that while on the DDP, we can request to switch a QS meal for 3 snack items (on same bill). Is that true of the booth at the Food and Wine Festival also? I couldn’t find the answer anywhere. Thanks!
DFB Sarah says
Amelia, yes! If there are three snack credit eligible items at a single booth that you want to try, you can apply a Quick Service credit for them.
