The D23 Expo is just days away, and loads of exciting events are coming to the Anaheim Convention Center-held Expo this year! Disney will bring exclusive looks at movies like Frozen 2 and Onward, first peeks at (and sign-ups for) Disney+, and more (check out the schedule of events here!). And now we know National Geographic will debut an exclusive sneak peek at its scripted series The Right Stuff on August 24th!
The Right Stuff is a series based on the 1979 book of the same name by Tom Wolfe. In his work of non-fiction, Wolfe shares the stories — those known and those behind the scenes — of America’s Mercury 7 astronauts and the test pilots who made their work possible. In addition to an exclusive look at the series, D23 will welcome the cast for an autograph signing and meet-and-greet (find them from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at Talent Central) and a Q&A with the cast and astronaut Nicole Stott as moderator (2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Center Stage).
But the fun doesn’t end there because the cast and Astronaut Stott will participate in a second meet-and-greet (3:00 PM to 3:50 PM at the Walt Disney Television Booth) before serving as Grand Marshalls for the D23 Street Party (at 4:30 PM). It’s not rocket science — but it sure sounds like a ton of fun!
