If it seems like there’s always construction news out of Disney Springs, that’s because there is. City Works Eatery & Pour House is nearing completion in West Side, and not too far away, two more dining locations are just embarking on their construction journeys.
Let’s check in on Beatrix — bringing the fresh — and Ample Hills Creamery — bringing the cool!
Beatrix Construction in Disney Springs
Beatrix is a health-food chain that will bring a grab-and-go market, a coffee shop, and a “neighborhood restaurant” to the Springs! We first shared the big news back in August — check out more info here!
Beatrix is commandeering the old Bongos location that closed last month, and it will be next door to Spanish-inspired Jaleo.
Construction walls are up, and we didn’t spot any exterior work during our visit. Beatrix’ opening date (or season) has not been announced yet, but we’ll keep bringing you updates.
Ample Hills Creamery Construction
Directly across the street from Beatrix will be the second Disney World-based location of Ample Hills Creamery. (We already love the first location on the BoardWalk!) The Disney Springs spot is taking over Amazing Pictures (previously a jewelry store called Something Silver, hence all the silver filigree on the exterior).
It remains to be seen whether Ample Hills will keep the purple and silver design (we’re guessing no, but maybe?), but the windows have been blacked out, and the display cases on the exterior now have some Ample Hills and ice cream-related items. (DFB Tip: you can order the Ample Hills Creamery cookbook here!)
Signs are up on the door asking guests to “please pardon our appearance.”
We’ll pardon the appearance so long as we get to enjoy an ice cream flight every time we visit Disney Springs once it opens! 😉 (See why Ample Hills ice cream flights are the stuff of dreams here!)
We’ll keep an eye on the construction progress and let you know when we learn more about the opening dates and menus for Beatrix and Ample Hills Creamery — Disney Springs!
