“My, what a guy, that Gaston!”
On a recent trip to the Magic Kingdom we stopped by Gaston’s Tavern to visit everyone’s favorite guy, and noticed him sporting a new look!
Gaston’s costume has gotten a makeover! The new reincarnation is slightly more rugged, with arms and legs that are noticeably less padded.
That being said, it still certainly looks like Gaston has been maintaining his five-dozen eggs a day diet!
His pants are also darker and more acid-washed. Gaston is also rocking a red short-sleeved shirt with a yellow long-sleeved undershirt instead of the red long-sleeved tee he wore before. But we think that no matter the costume, Gaston still has as big an ego as ever, making him a pretty fun character to meet at the parks!
You can check out Gaston’s new look while you pick up a LeFou’s Brew at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom!

Gaston has always been more the attitude than the costume.
Another example of Disney making everything and everyone look less impressive than their stories purport them to be. The visual “dumbing-down” of everything.
Whatever, NC-Dad. The old costume looked cheap and lack dimensionality. I am in complete support of this change, creating a realistic depiction of Gaston, compared to an actor that was wearing 50% of their body mass in padding.
NC-Dad– seriously. I don’t know about all the other characters, but I agree this is pretty unimpressive….
this is one of the worst moves lately, so generic so disney!!
Really??!!??…I’m sixty-three years old and I’ve got bigger biceps than this “Gaston”…Come on Disney, you can cast better than this!
I’m glad they took the pads away. They always looked so fake and awkward.
That being said… they could at least have filled the role with a Muscular Guy.
He looks like a common trick-or-treater. Bad move on Disney’s part.
Come on, Disney. Leave a little fantasy in Fantasyland!
