It’s officially Christmas in Magic Kingdom! Tonight, the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the season will kick off, you can celebrate the season with exclusive merchandise and holiday decor, and already holiday treats are hitting menus all over the Kingdom.
You can check out festive treats here, and stick with DFB all day long as we continue to bring you reviews of everything holiday in Magic Kingdom!
Right now, we’re…eager? excited?… to share with you a new treat that will be available all season long at Magic Kingdom’s Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. This one’s suuuuuper sweet, and…well…weird.
Introducing Deck The Halls!
This frosty treat is frozen eggnog topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a “chocolate Christmas bulb.” We’ll get to that red situation in a moment, but first let’s focus on the ‘nog.
Frozen eggnog is basically a milkshake consistency with the rich, super-sweet flavor of eggnog. If you love it, you love it; otherwise, you’re just tolerating this Christmas staple.
In the case of Deck the Halls, you’ll really want to love eggnog (or plan to share with a couple of friends) because it’s way too sweet and rich for average folk.
There’s plenty of whipped cream on Deck the Halls, and that was our favorite part, sadly. Which brings us to the chocolate Christmas bulb.
This is a white chocolate piece sprayed (we think) red. By the time it made its way to Deck the Halls, it was spotted and looked more at home on a crime scene.
We wish this particular garnish had been a bit more thought-out. Like maybe dying the white chocolate red before molding it into the lightbulb shape? Or making it look like…an acutal Christmas bulb? You know, whatever works for you.
Overall, we’re not fans of Deck the Halls. ACTUALLY decking the halls? Great. This drink? Not on our Christmas list.

What treat are you most excited to try at Magic Kingdom this holiday season? Let us know below!
I had the eggnog shake today and the bulb was red chocolate all the way thru, but it still sank to the bottom. Still tasty!
I think I would order it without whipped cream and the chocolate bulb. Just the plain shake.
We like eggnog so this is something I would try.
