Disney+ is HERE! Can you believe it?!

It feels like we’ve been talking about this streaming service FOREVER, so we’re having a bit of a “pinch me” moment with the official launch! While the service is still in its first few days (and has been off to a bit of a rocky start!), we already have a few top picks of original programming we’re looking to binge!

And while we’re PUMPED (okay a little more than pumped) about all the classic films and television shows available on Disney+, we thought we’d share the top 5 Disney+ originals that we cannot wait to watch!

Lady and the Tramp

A live-action remake of a classic? Amazing voice talent? The CUTEST rescue pup actors?! Check, check, and DOUBLE CHECK! The new Lady and the Tramp looks pawsitively ADORABLE.

The tail tale might be old as time, but we’re really excited to see it retold with some real-life pups!

The Mandalorian

We’re pretty sure you’d have to be living under a rock not to heard of this one! Star Wars fans have been counting down the days for the original series, which follows a bounty hunter after the fall of the Empire (aka, it takes place after Return of the Jedi).

This series looks out of this world (get it?), and whether you’re a Star Wars fanatic or simply have a passing interest we think this is one Disney+ original you won’t want to miss. Have you seen it yet?! What were your thoughts?

Noelle

Just in time for the holiday season, Disney+ has debuted a new Christmas movie! Anna Kendrick stars at the titular character Noelle, better known as Santa Claus’ daughter! The movie follows her as she hunts down her brother Nick, who has gotten cold feet and disappeared after being tasked with taking over the job of Santa!

We’re planning on curling up with some hot cocoa to watch this new flick and really thought it told a great tale about the meaning of Christmas and it instantly became a favorite.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

PHEW, that name is a mouthful! We have to admit, this series is NOT what we thought when we first heard word of it! Instead of a straight reboot of the classic Disney Channel Original Movie, this series gets seriously META.

In the series, a group of high-schoolers put on their own performance of ”High School Musical”, and it sounds like the drama of the stage seeps into the student’s real lives as well! We think the series should be a fun way to bring in both new fans, as well as fans of the original movies, for a truly magical ride!

The Imagineering Story

Wow! Talk about taking us back. This incredible new series shows a behind-the-scenes of the life of Disney Imagineers. The first episode allowed us to take a super detailed look at the opening of Disneyland thanks to wonderful footage and recordings that include Walt Disney, Mary Blair, Marc Davis, and Bob Gurr, and many more.

The episode gives an insane look at what went into building the park and the creation of some classic Disney attractions like the Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean. Honestly, I was SO drawn in and I cannot wait for the rest of the episodes!
