Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Is Getting a NEW ENTRANCE!

Hold onto your Astro Orbiters! Things are about to get a little bumpy as you make your descent into Tomorrowland in Disneyland!

And if you’ve visited Disneyland recently, you might have some idea what we’re talking about!

While we’ve seen some new paperless FastPass kiosks have made their way into Tomorrowland recently that’s not the only upgrade that’ll be happening!

Disneyland is continuing its park wide beautification initiative dubbed “Project Stardust” which has included recent refurbishments to Sleeping Beauty’s Castle as well as enhancements to Main Street, U.S.A. Now Disney’s officially announced it’s next mission: Tomorrowland’s entrance! Here’s what the old Tomorrowland entrance looks like…

…and he’s the concept artwork showcasing the new Tomorrowland entrance that Disney just released today. According to the artist’s rendering, the Astro Orbiter will still be the focal point of the entryway, but it will now be flanked on either side by large planters filled with colorful flowers! The pathway is also being widened and “Space Age-inspired spires” will add a nice splash futuristic-chic to its newly re-imagined design!

And speaking of the new design, Disney says the inspiration behind Tomorrowland’s new look actually comes from its past! Imagineers poured over the land’s previous entryways throughout the years to create the new Tomorrowland entrance to welcome all of its future guests! Not sure about you, be we can’t wait to see it on our next trip to Disneyland!
