Disney’s new Riviera Resort officially opens its doors on December 16th!

We have been eating up every detail and preview coming out of this upcoming resort – from the Cast Member costumes to food options, we have been anticipating opening day! Well, it looks like our wish has been granted a little early this year, because we actually were able to get some glimpses INSIDE the resort!!

Our friend @carlylewisel was able to take a look inside the Riviera Resort, and WOW! This place is truly more breathtaking than we could have even imagined! Just take a look at the lobby, where you’ll find La Boutique for shopping.

Right next door in the lobby is Le Petit Cafe, which had a bunch of treats to try out!

Le Petit Cafe serves fresh coffee and pastries in the morning and get this…it turns into a WINE BAR in the evening that serves drinks and desserts. Here was their morning coffee and tea menu:

The pastries and treats being served were, in a word, YUM! Just look at them – somehow they manage to be both sweet to look at, and sweet to taste!

One of the items they were serving up were these Lemon Madeleines for $5.99.

Not going to lie, these looked absolutely delightful.

Our mouths are WATERING looking at these treats – everything just looks so darn good!

This chocolate banana bread comes topped with what looks like an edible Mickey medallion! It’s these little details that always amaze us!!

Of course, you can also find options like croissants and muffins to start your day off with a delicious breakfast!

The seating area in Le Petit Cafe is gorgeous – we can definitely sense the European vibes in the setup!

It’s the perfect place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee before a long day at the parks.

Outside you’ll find Bar Riva, which is a quick service pool bar. Yup, you read that right – this GORGEOUS set up is a pool bar!!

Seriously, though, can you believe that THIS is a pool bar?!

Serving European and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, as well as cocktails and drinks, Bar Riva is a beautiful place to stop for a mid-day pick-me-up (and maybe grab a cocktail, while you’re at it!).

Next door you’ll find Primo Piatto, another quick service location at the resort.

This quick service trattoria will serve yummy dishes, as well as offering grab-and-go options. Some of their breakfast options are displayed below, including the tried-and-true FAVE Mickey Waffle!

There are also some beverage options you can choose from at the quick service dining spot.

And, of course, there’s a spot to grab your coffee as well!

If you choose to eat there, you can do so in the GORGEOUS dining area, with red seating and European-inspired decor.

Or, if you’d rather, you can take your food and beverage with you, so you can grab a bite to eat on your way out to the parks.

Speaking of heading to the parks – the Riviera Resort is near the Disney Skyliner and even has a station, making it an easy, breezy trip to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. To get to the Skyliner hub at the Riviera, you go through a tunnel that has one of our FAVORITE details of the entire property.

That’s right, remember those BEAUTIFUL mosaics we got to preview recently? They are actually located in the tunnel leading up to the Skyliner! This stunning mosaic takes inspiration from Tangled.

This will definitely be a spot where you’ll find visitors taking TONS of selfies – how could you not?!

Another great spot at the Riviera Resort is the Voyageurs’ Lounge! Just look how gorgeous this spot is!

Designed to be a “gathering spot”, the lounge is the perfect spot to sit back and relax, surrounded by stunning decor (and even some holiday decorations!). Located next to Le Petit Cafe, the Voyageurs’ Lounge’s decor is inspired by the books that Walt Disney collected, and by his time in Europe! It looks like it even includes some books to read as well – how cool is that?!

We are counting down the DAYS ’til the new Riviera Resort finally opens! Getting this sneak preview has only made us more excited to stay at Disney World’s newest hotel!
