We’re about the blow the roof OFF the big top with this BIG announcement!
We now know the NAME of the new Cirque Du Soleil show when it debuts next spring in Disney Springs! Oh — and the new name (and newly released photos) are VERY telling of what direction this new Cirque Du Soleil production is headed!
Alright, we can’t filibuster like a circus ringmaster ANY LONGER! The name of the new Disney Springs Cirque Du Soleil Show IS…
…Drawn to Life! And as you can see from the concept art just released today, Disney’s newest Cirque Du Soleil show is drawing much of its inspiration from, well… Disney! In this new show, we’ll be introduced to Julie, who, according to Cirque Du Soliel, is, “a courageous and determined girl who discovers an unexpected gift left by her late father: an unfinished animation piece.”
Guided by a surprising pencil, she embarks on an inspiring quest sprinkled with her Disney childhood memories. Through this journey, she learns to imagine new possibilities and animate the story of her future. Check out these images of headpieces for a new character we’ll encounter in Drawn to Life dubbed Mr. Pencil! Not sure why his name isn’t Mr. Paintbrush, but we’ll just have to wait and see!
Unlike La Nouba, Cirque Du Soleil’s previous show which ran in Disney Springs for 19 years, Drawn to Life is a “collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering!” Look at some of the makeup designs for the new cast below!
And there’s even this sneak peek of a new Drawn to Life costume! It’s from a sequence called, Dream of Color — while the top resembles a partially rendered sketch, the lower part is made of leather with a metallic finish! GORG!
There’s also an image of this animator’s table, possibly a prop?
While we can only speculate about some of the new stuff we’ll be seeing in Drawn to Life, one thing’s for sure — the new show will be PACKED with some serious star power. Check out these performers practicing their acrobatics on the Russian swing!
There’s also an image of a performer training on an aerial pole…
…and this performer flying high above his peers via teeterboard!
Drawn to Life will open for previews March 20, 2020, while the show will make its official debut April 17, 2020. Currently, you can purchase tickets online here! We’ll keep you updated with this and other big events happening at Disney Springs, like the new City Works Eatery and Pour House that will be opening any day now!

We’re big Cirque fans and unfortunately they didn’t announce the new show until after we had booked our February trip.

I’ve been checking the website constantly- currently they only have tickets through the end of August, but I’m traveling in the beginning of September. I can’t wait until more ticket dates are released, because I WILL be getting them!
This show looks to be completely amazing!

Never been so,I have no benchmark to compare it to. Have been to 2 Cirque traveling shows in Hartford CT back in the 1990’s, I did not even know the show at Disney Springs was even open. I wish Disney had the Blue Man Group… I thought they were great when I saw the, many years ago. They have left Universal (too far away and not as friendly at City Walk than at DS) but I never attended their show there, but I would definitely go if they were at the Springs.
