We’ve been waiting for this moment for YEARS and it is finally here! “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” (a reimagined version of the “Voyage of the Little Mermaid” show) finally has an official opening date and we’ve got all the details right here.
Disneyland is celebrating something HUGE this year — its 70th anniversary!
The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will begin on May 16th, 2025, and will run through summer 2026. The celebration will see the return of some beloved shows and other limited-time entertainment, colorful decor, special food and beverages, exclusive merchandise, and more! We already had some details about this event, but Disney just dropped even more announcements — let’s get into it.

If you want to get in on all the fun, it’s finally your time to shine. We have an update on Hollywood Studios’s most villainous new show and how you can be a part of it.
Man, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a TON going on right now!
Muppets Courtyard is leaving to make way for the brand new Monster’s, Inc. Land. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is getting re-themed to the Muppets. The new Little Mermaid show and the new Villains show are both coming to the park. It’s a lot! And speaking of shows, you know how Disney loves showing us concept art for their new projects? Well, it looks like Disney tried to get a little sneaky, but there was no way that we were going to miss this one glaring announcement in the Monsters, Inc. concept art!
Universal Orlando Resort is BRINGING IT. There is a LOT to talk about at this popular theme park right now. First, there’s a new nighttime show right on the lagoon (with some AMAZING new music). Then, there’s the brand-new DreamWorks land — complete with a SHREK pretzel. But today, we’re here to talk about another NEW nighttime attraction. Wizards, we’r going to Hogwarts.

Earlier this year, Disney announced that a new Encanto show would be coming to EPCOT this summer. At the time, the company announced that “¡Celebración Encanto!” would run on the new CommuniCore Plaza stage as part of the grand opening of the newly reimagined portion of EPCOT now known as World Celebration. The show opens June 10th, but we got a chance to see a preview!
In December 2023, we heard that Disney was permanently closing the Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
We haven’t seen the show performed since 2020 when the parks closed due to the pandemic. Since then, we have been waiting with bated breath for it to reopen. However, Disney announced that the show was going to be closing permanently to make way for something brand new — “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure”. Disney’s Live Entertainment team has been working on the show for over a year now, so consider this our open letter to them about what we would like to see in the new show. [Read more…]
