In fact, we seem to have a supernatural sense every time a new one arrives at Disney World, which is why we headed over to Scat Cat’s Club Cafe!
While we last made the pilgrimage to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter to try their Cinna-Hot Beignets (which were called Red Hot Beignets last time we were here!) we saw a new item had been added — the Mardi Gras Beignet!

The Mardi Gras Beignet is a plain Mickey-shaped beignet, but instead of a dusting of powdered sugar, this little guy has been given the “royal treatment” with purple, green, and yellow glaze decorated with crispy pearls!

The lack of powdered sugar combined with the sweet, rich flavor of the dough and icing make the Mardi Gras Beignet taste just like a yummy glazed donut to us! Plus this thing is as festive as it gets if you’re looking for a treat to satisfy your carnival cravings!
