The CDC has just announced an extension of the “No Sail Order” originally issued on March 14th for all cruise ships by at least 100 days.
Guests who currently have a voyage booked with Disney Cruise Line should note that — as of this morning’s press time — the official Disney Cruise Line website still notes suspended sailings of all departures through April 28, 2020 for the fleet, and for sailings embarking or debarking in Vancouver — which specifically affects the Disney Wonder — through the end of June. (You can read more about that here.)
The CDC’s Statement of Intent on the order has listed: “Preserving the public health and other critical resources of Federal, State, and local governments; Preserving hospital, healthcare, and emergency response resources within the United Sates; and Maintaining the safety of shipping and harbor conditions, including safety of the personnel” among its paramount objectives with this order.
Of course, we will be keeping you posted on any new developments.
