It really does feel like the months have blown by since Disney World has been closed!
On top of the Disney Park Pass going live tomorrow on June 22nd, the Disney Resorts will be re-opening again to guests. Since there are plenty of new health and safety regulations (and even guidelines for Good Neighbor resorts), stays on Disney property are going to look totally different that we’ve seen before.
While guests will be required to have a hotel or dining reservation to even enter a resort, Disney is also necessitating that hotel guests “must read” all the health and safety information before arriving. We received a notification from the My Disney Experience app about reading the mandatory Health Acknowledgement…
…which took us into the page on the app with all the information guests need to know. Since everyone will be traveling, it’s important that visitors are aware of both the precautions that Disney Resorts are taking and what is expected of the guests.
Disney is asking that everyone participates in an at-home health check before they head to Disney World to ensure the safety of everyone on property.
If a guest is experiencing any of the ailments listed, has been in contact with someone who is sick, or currently resides under a self-quarantine order, they “must not enter the Walt Disney World Resort.”
The Health Acknowledgement is not only mandatory, but it also has helpful information that you should know before you head to the resorts. We recommend checking with Disney if you have any concerns about a member in your party before arriving. And, we’ll also be giving you a detailed tour of the Disney Resorts tomorrow so you can have a first look before you go!

We are coming down to Disney Springs in September. Since Port Orleans French Quarter is not on the current list of hotels to reopen, is there somewhere else on property to get beignets without entering a park?
Fran, not that I can think of.
I’m curious about the not being able to even enter a hotel if you don’t have a reservation. I would hope by Dec this changes…as one of the big things at Christmas time is to visit the other resorts to see the decorations. What is your thought on this? Do we think we will be able to resort hop to see decorations? I’m sure they can stop you at the gate if driving in, but how are they to stop you coming in on the monorail or boat or skyliner?
Stephanie, so far no word on how they might manage arrivals to Resorts via Disney transportation; that has been a question in my mind as well. I think we will see a lot of changes between now and December, and hopefully we will all have a lot more clarity by then.
