Guests with upcoming reservations to Disney World have a multitude of new health and safety procedures to be aware of before they even leave home! But there’s more to preparing for your next Disney World vacation than linking your park admission to My Disney Experience.
Another new measure to be aware of before leaving home comes in the form of a health acknowledgement, which was recently added to Disney World’s website.
Guests who wish to come to Disney World may not exhibit any symptoms that could possibly be linked to the coronavirus. Although it seems like this may be on the honor’s system, the acknowledgement does state that guests who display symptoms including (but not limited to) fever, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, and coughing “must not enter Walt Disney World Resort.”
Guests wishing to visit Disney World must also abide by the acknowledgement that they have not been in contact with anyone with confirmed or suspected symptoms without completing a 14-day quarantine and are not under any self-quarantine orders. This acknowledgement is preceded on the website with Disney’s warning regarding the virus.
Disney is making it abundantly clear that by visiting Walt Disney World Resort, not only do you acknowledge that you are free from any symptoms related to the virus, but that you also “voluntarily assume all risked related to exposure.” Similar signage can already be seen around Disney Springs.
There’s a lot to keep straight these days, from knowing how dining in Disney World will look different when the restaurants reopen to preparing for your resort stay. Before you arrive, be sure to also stay up to date on all the latest reopening news by clicking any of the links below!

Aren’t most people fatigue and muscle aches after walking around Disney all day? Isn’t a headache a common thing for a parent? Sneezing, runny nose and congestion are also common signs of allergies. Is it possible for DFB to work some of it’s magic and get some validation from Disney on this?
I have a cough due to post-nasal drip and allergies – I’ve had this cough for four years – because I have a cough that I know 100% is allergies I can’t enter the property?
Having to be clear of all of those symptoms is sorta harsh when in a situation like I am where you have one of the symptoms (my case a cough) from other conditions. I would like to know how strictly they are really enforcing this.
In my case, I am a nurse who works in the hospital who has and is caring for Covid patients. Does this also mean we who are on the frontline working tirelessly & in need of a break, can’t go to Disney or any other theme park for that matter?
Just a Thought: I would think that a note from your doctor saying that any of the symptoms which are on the COVID-19 list that a patient has are attributable to allergies, etc., would satisfy Disney. After all, they want you there! They need you there to spend your vacation dollars and keep them in business, right? And, since anyone entering is assuming the risk of being exposed to the virus, you should be good. However, Disney needs to make that clear to us.
I was advised if you said YES to any symptoms, there would be a 2nd screening and they would determine if your symptoms were from CV19 or some other underlying illness has many have mentioned, headaches, coughs, runny nose…. many have all of those symptoms seasonally so you will likely not be turned away after a 2nd screening….
