It’s official, we’ve made it to June! We’re getting into the hottest part of the year and we’re about to start seeing summertime crowds at Disney World.
There have been a lot of changes to health and safety guidelines in theme parks recently.
And, as CDC recommendations continue to change, many theme parks are considering making more adjustments to their policies. We’ve already seen one major theme park in the U.S. allow guests to remove their face masks in outdoor settings, and now another is relaxing their guidelines.
Theme parks have been implementing and adjusting safety procedures throughout the pandemic.
Most recently, Disney World adjusted its mask policy to allow guests to remove their masks while taking photos outdoors. And as COVID-19 vaccinations continue throughout the country, states such as Florida are considering making changes to mask and social distancing rules. Now, another theme parks has adjusted its procedures, too.
Hong Kong Disneyland reopened on February 19th!
The park spent most of 2020 closing and reopening repeatedly. After originally shutting down in January, it reopened in June only to close again in July, reopen in September, and close AGAIN in December. Disney World has been following strict health and safety guidelines since the parks reopened. Guests are required to wear face masks and are required to have their temperature checked before entering the parks or Disney Springs.
