A BRAND-NEW land has officially opened up in EPCOT!
When EPCOT first announced its transformation, we learned that the park would be split into four neighborhoods — World Nature, World Showcase, World Discovery, and World Celebration. We’ve been able to fully explore three out of those four lands for a while, but we’ve been waiting for a large portion of World Celebration to reopen for YEARS. And if you’ve been itching to walk through the middle of the park again, we have great news!
EPCOT is having a BIG day!
December 5th marks a milestone in EPCOT’s transformation process! A lot is happening inside the park and we noticed that it has caused a change in Disney’s app. Let’s take a look at what’s been updated!
It’s a very big day!
December 5th marks Walt Disney’s birthday, and in honor of the man who started it all, Disney chose the day to officially open a NEW area of EPCOT. The World Celebration Gardens and Walt the Dreamer Statue are two brand new additions to the park — part of the transformation that has been in progress for the past few years. Now, the area is officially open to guests, and of course — there’s a new park map to feature the new areas.
EPCOT has been undergoing a lengthy transformation for what feels like FOREVER.
Yep, it’s been years since we’ve seen the park in all her wall-less glory. Walls have protected the behind-the-scenes construction of an enhanced World Celebration as well as the addition of Communicore Hall and Plaza — where future festivals will take place.
BUT we learned in November that the EPCOT transformation will be COMPLETE in December, and among the first to open will be the World Celebration Gardens and Walt Disney Statue — set to open to the public on December 5th — in honor of Walt’s birthday. Well, we were fortunate enough to take a lil’ peek at the statue and gardens via a media event, and we just had to share some IMPORTANT info regarding these gardens!Â
Disney World is always changing, which was always something Walt had in mind when he created his first theme park, Disneyland.
Most recently, we’ve seen a massive EPCOT transformation begin to head toward completion. We’ve even seen the TRON ride finally open. There are new restaurants on the way. Plus Disney has some BIG plans for other parts of the resort. Some of those plans, though, are SUPER secret — and well, WE HAVE QUESTIONS.
We are expecting BIG things from the EPCOT transformation!
EPCOT has been in limbo with construction for YEARS, now. But it’s all set to be over this month (according to Disney). And little by little, we are seeing updates and changes appear around the park. We recently spotted a change that had us both excited and possibly a little startled…? At this point, we don’t know if we love it or hate it.
It’s no secret that things are about to change a lot in Disney World in 2024.
We know that certain attractions are getting makeovers this coming year, and we have to admit that we’re nervous about some of them. However, there are tons of new additions we CANNOT WAIT to see, and we thought we’d do a quick recap to refresh your mind!
After several long years of construction, the EPCOT transformation is nearly complete!
We’ve seen several new additions over the past few years, from Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Space 220 to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Creations Shop. But soon, the World Celebration section of the park will be fully open again. And along with that reopening comes a brand-new feature!
We are nearing the end of the EPCOT transformation!
Disney announced the EPCOT transformation will be complete in December of this year. The new show, Luminous The Symphony of Us, is set to debut on December 5th and now Disney has just announced that walls are COMING DOWN!
