There’s a common theme in many of Disney’s movies, and that’s the concept of family.
From the idea of “Ohana” in Lilo & Stitch to Elsa and Anna’s relationship in Frozen, Disney gets family. And although the upcoming Disney+ movie Safety is disguising itself as a sports movie, at its heart, it looks like it’s about brotherly love.
Safety, which is based on a true story, tells the tale of Clemson University football player Ray McElrathbey (Jay Reeves) who is trying to live out his collegiate football dream through sheer persistence and dedication, while also having to raise and take care of his 11-year-old brother. Here’s the poster for the movie:
Disney also released a trailer for the film, and even if you’re not into sports, this story is probably going to make you feel some things (and we’re still not even overseeing Clouds!). This truly looks so heartwarming!
We love all the original content that’s been dropping on Disney+ and now we can add this (along with Black Beauty) to our list of things we must watch on the service over the next few months!
