As you may have heard, EPCOT is undergoing a pretty HUGE transformation.
Much of this transformation is happening over in Future World, including a BRAND NEW roller coaster — Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! We’ve been keeping a close eye on the exterior progress on this attraction, but now we can take a peek INSIDE!
This morning Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro spoke at the virtual International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, or IAAPA, Expo and gave us some pretty cool news. Not only did we learn when we can expect Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to open but we also got a glimpse INSIDE the new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster!
You can see from the track that there is a combination of a winding track (which looks like a BLAST) and platforms for slower portions of the attraction. We’ve seen some interesting permits for these structures so it’s pretty great to see them with our own eyes!
Plus, this attraction is set to be a first-of-its-kind Omnicoaster, meaning the ride vehicle has the ability to face any direction even at high speeds. Yeah…this isn’t your typical coaster! D’Amaro shared a video of the ride vehicle moving on its 360-degree access, facing front…
…side…
…OTHER side…
…and even BACK. That’s a WILD range of motion, don’t ya think?
Man, we thought these ride vehicles were cool before but they’re REALLY blowing our minds now.

Oh well, does not look like I will be riding this attraction… add in to the ride description that it is a dark ride and it quickly turns in to a spin and p_ke ride. Not for me, been there, tried that before at Mission Space and was out on the lawn for the next 3 hours on the lawn out front.
Great. All the new rides
