We certainly had a pleasant surprise today!
We were strolling through EPCOT this morning when we spotted that part of the France Expansion was OPEN. Of course, we headed right in to show you part of the new area, but we’re also taking a closer look at the new restroom that is now open here!
The new restroom is located on the right side of the pathway towards the end, right across from where the expansion will continue on towards Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
The building has a light French theme that meshes really well with the rest of the pavilion. We even recognize the font on the sign as the same one from the big Ratatouille arch that marks the entrance to the expansion.
Like most Disney restrooms, the building is split to dedicate one half to men’s bathrooms and the other to women’s.
The doors are paneled giving them a more rustic look.
The bathrooms themselves are spacious and bright with a neutral color palette. Our reporter headed into the ladies and noted changing tables were offered.
These restrooms definitely aren’t outwardly themed like certain other parks bathrooms (We’re looking at you Tangled bathrooms!), but they did have subtle French motifs like the embossed pattern in the wall tiles.
The stall doors even mimic the paneling from the outside doors. As a note, the restrooms at the nearby Morocco Pavilion were closed today, so you can head to the new spot for your needs.
We’re taking you with us as we look through the newly opened piece of the France Expansion! Remember, the rest of the Expansion is set to open sometime this year. Of course, stay tuned to DFB so that you’re up to date on all the latest updates.
