Update: We checked on this later in the day and My Disney Experience showed that all of these attractions had reopened.
Disney World might be the most magical place on earth, but rides there can experience technical difficulties at times, causing them to temporarily close.

Magic Kingdom
Sometimes these closures are only for a few minutes, but other times they can last for much longer. As we walked around Magic Kingdom today, we actually found that 3 rides are ALL temporarily closed right now due to technical difficulties.
Over in Tomorrowland, Astro Orbiter is temporarily unavailable for technical difficulties. There were Cast Members standing in front of the attraction’s queue advising guests of the closure.

In Fantasyland, we encountered a similar situation over at Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid. The attraction is also temporarily closed for technical issues.

In Frontierland, one of Magic Kingdom’s signature “mountains” — Big Thunder Mountain Railroad — was also temporarily closed.

But, we did see some trains running through the attraction without any passengers on board.

Currently, My Disney Experience shows these three attractions as temporarily closed.

Scrrenshot from My Disney Experience
We’re not sure how long these closures will last. But, it’s a good reminder to check the My Disney Experience app throughout your day at the park to see if any attraction becomes temporarily unavailable. You’ll also want to check the app periodically throughout the day to see if the attraction becomes available again. We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney news and let you know what we find!

Things are not good at the Magic Kingdom, more was closed on Friday than open, the park is being ran like its going out of business. And half the stores and snack locations are closed as well.
OMG… Say it ain’t so. I am so upset… I am so thankful that I got to enjoy the good years from 1985 to 2005.
