We may not be able to watch parades come through Magic Kingdom at the moment, be we certainly have enjoyed seeing some of our favorite characters in the Character Cavalcades.

At Magic Kingdom, you can see Aladdin and others in the Fantasyland Friends Cavalcade, Mickey and Minnie in the Mickey & Friends Cavalcade, and some classic and new Disney Princesses in the Royal Princess Processional. Typically, the Princesses come by on their own special float, but today something was MISSING!

During the Royal Princess Processional, we usually see some of our favorite princesses like Ariel, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and others waving at their adoring fans from a shimmery and shiny parade float with the sign “A Kingdom of Dreams” at the front.

Tiana and Rapunzel are usually behind in their own separate float.

But, today, it seems the princesses have ditched the float and take the cavalcade into their own hands…or rather, their FEET! Instead of standing on and waving from their elevated float, the Princesses were walking through Magic Kingdom during their processional today.

Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Jasmine, and more were all greeting guests from eye level instead of up above.

But, Tiana and Rapunzel were still in their own separate float behind them.

We’re not sure what caused this change and whether it’s due to some possible refurbishment being done on the float or something else.

But, if you’re headed to Magic Kingdom soon, you might just get the chance to see these leading ladies walk past instead of ride past on their float. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we see.
