This year, Stitch is determined to get into as much trouble as he can.
In the Stitch Crashes Disney series, our favorite alien “crashes” into a different classic Disney movie each month. As a result, we get merchandise like pins and plushes featuring him inside each film. In January, Stitch wiggled his way into Beauty and the Beast, and in February, he got covered in spaghetti in Lady and the Tramp. And now, we have a sneak peek of March’s collection!
In March’s Stitch Crashes Disney collection, Stitch will jump right into The Lion King! We were pretty curious how this would look (would Stitch sport a lion’s mane? Would he be covered in colorful bugs?), but now we can find out! Disney has released a picture of what the March plush will look like.
Okay, so we were kind of right on the bugs. And we’re loving the green and yellow geometric pattern on his normally blue fur. But WHY are his eyes red? We’re a little confused — and pretty terrified — by this detail. The bugs on his head are cute enough, but those glowing red eyes make Stitch look like a giant beetle! We may have nightmares about this one. What happened to our mischievous but adorable alien pal?!
Update: Now we’ve also got a peek at the pin and MagicBand that will be part of this set. And it looks like we’ve got more of those red eyes on those two items too, at least from what we can see!

We got the chance to see the Beauty and the Beast Stitch plushes in person, and we’ve gotta tell you. These things are HUGE! Here it is next to a Cast Member for reference. We can only imagine how extra terrifying bug-eyed Stitch will look this big.
Each new collection is released globally on the third Saturday of each month. Keep an eye out for the Lion King pin and plush and be sure to let us know what you think! We’ll keep bringing you the latest Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB.

Honestly would be cute if he just didn’t have red eyes. What the heck?? I’m trying to get the plushies for the entire series, but I wish they would just change his eye color. Would fix the whole creepy villain vibe. Also I am still shocked that they did not take this opportunity to give Stitch an adorable lion mane. Disney…
Well, what can we say. Artistic license at its best. Or worst.
I’m usually really sad to fail (yet again) at getting a Stitch on the release date… at least I won’t have to go through the motions of trying to race others for this. What the heck Disney.
These remind me of the Lilo and Stitch movie commercials of him crashing other Disney classics 😂 However, the close up of the Beauty and the Beast plush looks cheaply made.
