Last year, Cinderella Castle got a whole new look with some bolder blues, some pink tones, and gold touches.

We’ve also seen other areas around Disney World getting some makeovers like the Train Station on Main Street, U.S.A., the Magic Kingdom entrance sign, and even the Disney World entrance signs. But, now it looks like Disney has potentially started another refurbishment project at Cinderella Castle that’ll definitely make your Castle pics look a little…different.
Just a few days ago, this was our view of Cinderella Castle in all her glory.

But, today the Castle was sporting a different look. The stage in front of the Castle has now been blocked off with a row of bushes.
There is also some gray-colored scrim up by the Castle, behind the bushes.
From in front of the Castle, you can see the parts of the scrim that are wrapped around the railings on the lower part of the stage.
The ramps on either side of the Castle that allow you to walk right up to and through Cinderella Castle are still open though. As you walk those you can get a bit better of a view of what’s going on.

There is some scrim around the lower edge of the Castle stage, and some more railings all around the stage covered in the same scrim.
There also appears to be something on the stage that’s covered in scrim.
If you’ll be heading to Disney World soon, be aware that your Castle photos might look a little bit different because of these plants and scrim on the Castle stage. You could head to the back of the Castle for a different view without any scrim, or try to place yourself in a spot that might avoid some of the scrim depending on the angle.
Although we are expecting Cinderella Castle to get an exciting makeover for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, it seems that this is just some standard stage maintenance right now. We’ll definitely keep an eye out for more updates though, and we’ll let you know what we see.

I wonder… the photos of the scrim seem to be covering only the detail features but not the stone edifices and walls. I wonder if they are going to be sealing the concrete and fiberglass stone features with a spray on appliqué during the overnight hours. They just repainted so maybe they need to protect it from the harsh Florida sun.
It’s beautiful
