There’s a NEW way to navigate Disney World today!
The NEW Disney MagicMobile service debuted in Disney World today. That means you can now use your Apple Smartphone or watch to scan into the parks in lieu of a MagicBand. Like the other ticket media, this service can be used for other park offerings as well — including Disney PhotoPass!
Disney PhotoPass is the souvenir photography offering in Disney World. You’ll spot photographers stationed around the parks and ride photos fall into this service as well. In the past, you’d scan your MagicBand or card with the photographer or at a scanner at the end of a PhotoPass ride to link your photos to your account.
You can still use your MagicBand or Keys to the World card with PhotoPass but now the MagicMobile offering can be used as well! To use Disney MagicMobile, you’ll present your Disney MagicMobile Pass to the Disney PhotoPass photographers. They’ll scan your Pass, and the photos will be linked to your account.
Remember, to use MagicMobile, you DO need to have Bluetooth enabled so that your phone can connect with in-park experiences, including the automatic photo linking that happens with some attractions. This automatic photo linking is NEW and means that some attraction photos will automatically appear in your account through your mobile device — no MagicBand needed.
We’ll be giving MagicMobile a try today so stay tuned to DFB as we check out this new way to access offerings in Disney World!
