As the situation with COVID-19 develops, we’ve seen quite a few updates released about cruising.
So far, Disney Cruise Line has canceled all U.S. departures through June 2021, and sailings on the Disney Magic in Europe have been canceled through September 18th, 2021. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has also shared its next phase of requirements for cruise lines. But, there are still many questions surrounding WHEN cruises will be able to depart from the U.S. again, and recently the CDC gave an update on just that.
According to a press release recently sent to us from Cruise Week, Jason McDonald, a CDC Spokesperson told Cruise Week that “the CDC hopes that U.S. cruises can resume by midsummer with restrictions.”
McDonald told Cruise Week that the “CDC is committed to working with the cruise industry and seaport partners to resume cruising following the phased approach outlined in the conditional sailing order.”
According to McDonald, “This goal aligns with the desire to resume passenger operations in the United States expressed by many major cruise ship operators and travelers, hopefully by midsummer with restricted revenue sailings.”
So, it seems cruising from the U.S. could potentially return by midsummer with restrictions. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates on that.
Again, at the moment Disney Cruise Line sailings from the U.S. have been canceled through June. Some Adventures by Disney experiences tied to those cruises have also been canceled. Stay tuned for more details and updates.

Hope our Governor rethinks vaccination passports. He wants to sue the CDC,but then says we can’t have vaccination passports!
Since this Florida governor did not believe the virus to be real, following his leaders claim, it’s only fitting that he should forgo the vaccine and be the first passenger on a cruise ship. His response has been disgraceful.
