We’ve had giant cookies, extravagant donuts, and SO much more from Disney Springs.
But, today we made our way back for a NEW creation from Gideon’s Bakehouse. And I guess the lesson we learned is you SHOULD put cake in a blender!!
Earlier today Gideon’s Bakehouse shared a peek at a NEW item they’re testing — Cake Dips! What are cake dips you ask? Oh, it’s just a Gideon’s Cake that has been fully prepared and then DUMPED into a blender and mixed to a smooth, dip texture. Basically, it’s cake in glob form. So, of course, we made our way over there to try it!
Again, this item is only in testing right now. It’s set to be tested at Gideon’s Disney Springs location and their East End Market location today and throughout the weekend, while supplies last.
What cake dip flavor are they testing you ask? Well, right now Gideon’s is testing a cake dip made from their PB Mocha Chocolate Cake!! It comes in a small container, similar to those little tubs of icing they also sell.
Okay, we’ll fully admit. This new treat is a little…less than appealing in terms of its overall look when you open it up. Sooooo…just close your eyes and dig in, right?!
In terms of flavor, we REALLY enjoyed this treat. The flavor comes in waves — first, we got mostly chocolate. Then, the peanut butter kicked in. And finally, we got a little bit of that coffee flavor at the end.
Our reporter wasn’t a fan of the coffee flavor, but said they’d still DEFINITELY order it again!
For just $1.50 you could sample some of Gideon’s cakes in a whole new way or even use this as a dip for your cookies. Again, this item is only being tested for this weekend, so be sure to stop by soon and see if it’s still available! I guess the lesson we’ve learned here is…put your cake in the blender, but then close your eyes when you eat it?!
We’ll keep an eye out for more treats you can try all over Disney World and bring you the latest updates!
