One area we try to cover a lot of ground on is merchandise: you know it, you love it, you probably buy a good amount of it on your Disney trips.

Sometimes, merchandise that has been around for a while might get a refresh, or might undergo a price increase. It’s not uncommon, but we noticed recently that a certain Disney item has been doing quite a bit of flip-flopping.
If you’ve shopped on Disney property, or at any of Disney’s stand-alone stores, you may have noticed their super cute reusable bags.

There have been several designs over the years, especially since the Disney Company has made such a big push towards going green, and they’re featured in many gift shops.
However, we noticed a pricing sign today that left us scratching our heads: just how much are these bags??

Well, there’s one easy answer: if you were to buy a bag at Disney World today, they could cost $2 for size small, $2.50 for medium, and $3 for large. However, the Cast Member we asked said these bags had only been priced this way for a few days. But that’s where things get kinda confusing.

Since the parks reopened last summer, reuseable bags had been priced lower with our reporters seeing them priced at $1 each, no matter the size. This is a steal if you get the largest bag because they are seriosuly HUGE.

And in year’s past, we have even seen them priced at $1 each for the smaller two sizes and $2 for the gigantic bag. With this discovery, it seems like we have an official price increase…right?!

BUT, looking back, we have seen these exact prices on these bags, meaning we have seen them undergo a price increase before. As you can see in the photo from June 2019 below, the prices were the same as the prices we saw today… .

So, it seems like the prices fluctuate a bit. It may depend on the time of the year. Maybe Disney boosts the prices for the busy season? We’re not really sure. But we do know that we have seen these prices change quite frequently. And it looks like they can range from $1 for the largest bag to $3 for the largest bag!
You’d probably prefer to spend $1 on a bag than $3 on the SAME bag (right?!). Therefore, we will continue to monitor these prices and we will let you know if and when they drop down the that nice $1 price again! Savings are savings, even if it is just a dollar or two and we want to make sure we’re helping you save whenever we can! 😊

Absolutely I use the reusable bags all the time. They are sturdy and remind me of my trip at a cheap price
More and more of the magic is disappearing every day.
Love the bags but Price increases like these are frustrating for guests and CMs as how are CMs going to remember and then guests will complain. All price increases should cease at least until full 100% capacity is attainable.
I paid $1 for the couple that I bought back during our March trip. I had all intentions of going back to have one in each design, and didn’t. I hope that they are back to $1 when I go back in September.
All sizes were $1 after Thanksgiving and Super Bowl time.
