Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs, run by the famous Culinary Hall of Fame member and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, has been serving up high-end Asian dishes through their main location and the neighboring Morimoto Asia Street Food.
Last week, Morimoto Asia hosted a special ticketed Luau to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month!
One of our readers @dressed_in_magic on Instagram got pictures from inside the luau event at Morimoto and it looks absolutely incredible! Both floors of Morimoto Asia’s dining room were converted into a buffet with all sorts of yummy Hawaiian-inspired eats!
With signature Morimoto dishes like ribs and fried rice and Hawaiian classics like SPAM musubi and roasted whole pig, there were tons of great options!
Not only did they have tons of great pre-made options, but there were also lots of customizable dishes. The poke bar features plenty of choices including traditional ahi poke, Korean octopus poke, ginger chicken, and all sorts of toppings!
Outside, there was a station for shredded Kalua pork with grilled cabbage. Meanwhile, there was a sushi bar on the second floor with options like California rolls, spicy tuna rolls, and shrimp tempura rolls!
If all the delicious entrees, appetizers, and side dishes weren’t enough, Morimoto also served up some delicious desserts! With treats like haupia squares, butter mochi, and fresh fruit, guests we were transported to an island paradise!
On top of all the yummy treats, there was also live music and dancing that perfectly set the mood for this event!
Morimoto Asia’s Luau was a delicious and fun event full of incredible food! From the great food to the live music, this was a great way to enjoy some Hawaiian classics and signature Morimoto dishes!

A Letterman says
Are the foods mentioned being served at the Luau event also on the regular menu for the restaurant?
DFB Sarah says
A. Letterman, the only items I see that are shared by the regular menu is the sushi.
