Calling all MONSTERS, INC. fans! We just got some news we think you will be very excited about. The all-new Monstropolis Land coming to Hollywood Studios is well underway.

And one of the things we are most excited to experience is grabbing a meal at the real-life Harryhausen’s. This restaurant from the movie is coming to life before our eyes, and we just got some brand-new details!
The storyline of this land picks up right after the events of the movie, and monsters have invited humans into Monstropolis to celebrate H.U.M.A.N. Day, or “Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice” Day!

This land will allow guests to stroll the streets of Monstropolis and explore the monster world for the first time, as monsters try to repair their relationship with humans, now that they know human laughter is better than human screams. Guests will be able to immerse themselves in the world and even ride Disney’s VERY FIRST suspended coaster, where you will race on a door just like the iconic scene from the movie.

The land will also feature Harryhausen’s, which is the sushi restaurant highlighted in the movie. We are already so excited to eat at this new restaurant, especially since Disney just revealed a sneak peek at the Sushi Chef Audio-Animatronic! Just like in the movie, guests at the restaurant can watch as the chef’s tentacles whip up Monster-worthy creations.

Disney also shared a video showing the chef in action while it’s in the final stages of programming.
During the D23 Disney Experiences showcase, Michael Hundgen, Vice President Creative, said the menu at Harryhausen’s will be “unlike anything else we offer at Walt Disney World,” but don’t worry, it will serve more than just sushi!
