It’s only Tuesday and it has already been a pretty exciting week if you’re a fan of all things Poly! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort officially reopened yesterday (with their re-imagined Moana-themed guest rooms), along with Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto!
Today, we’re back at the Polynesian, specifically at Barefoot Pool Bar to fill you in on a secret menu drink we recently discovered!
Barefoot Pool Bar is one of our favorite poolside spots to sip on some tasty cocktails (we even invented one of our own here!), so we were thrilled when we heard about the Samoa Sunrise.
This secret menu cocktail is a frozen drink that blends together Dark Rum, Apricot Brandy, and POG Juice, with a floater on top of 151 Rum on top! POG Juice, of course, is our favorite tropical blend of Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava Juices. It comes in a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks around Disney World.
This secret menu drink in particular is delicious and not too sweet! Rum drinks can have a tendency to be sickly sweet (especially when it’s mixed with POG Juice), but these ingredients turned out to be a great combo! If you love POG juice and you’re staying at the Polynesian, we’re pretty sure that you need to order this drink.
Be sure to ask for it by name at Barefoot Pool Bar! It costs $13 and pairs well with The Voyager, our little cocktail hack that became a real menu item!
We’ll be on the lookout for more secret menu items around Disney World, so stay tuned for our latest discoveries!

Do you have to be a guest at the Poly to visit the Barefoot Pool bar?
Katie, there is a small bar area outside of the confines of the pool, so if you can get over to Poly, you should be able to enjoy Barefoot Pool Bar.
