We’re back with another installment of what’s new at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Hollywood Studios Food Updates
Next time you visit the Tune-In Lounge, you can sit in a variety of spots in the retro 1950s-themed lounge.
We saw lots of seating available, even though there were several people lounging around inside.
If you were worried about seating in Tune-In Lounge, you don’t have to be concerned anymore! Enjoy your drink while sitting on a comfy, retro couch.
Hollywood Studios Construction Updates
We spotted Disney World 50th Anniversary banners now located outside and inside of Hollywood Studios.
The 50th anniversary banners are slightly different in each Disney World park. The Hollywood Studios banners feature a shimmery gold border with a kind-of old Hollywood Art Deco pattern.
While we already saw finger scanning return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it has also now returned to Hollywood Studios.
Disney World had not been requiring finger scans since the parks reopened in July 2020. During a recent trip, we were told they would be returning to all four Disney World parks. And although hand sanitizer is available upon entering the park, we did not notice Cast Members wiping the scanners between guests.
Hollywood Studios Merchandise Updates
Mickey’s of Hollywood
In Mickey’s of Hollywood we found some of the newer nuiMOs accessories are now available in the store, like these Toy Headphones for $12.99.
We also found the new nuiMOs Toy Laptop in the store. This accessory is also $12.99.
If you collect Disney nuiMOs, you can find them many of them and many accessories to go with them both online and in stores throughout Disney World!
If you’ve ever wished for Star Wars and Halloween to join forces, this next item is for you. We spotted a new spooky droid named the R6-W1CH (haha, we see what you did there Disney!) for $12.99.
This spooky droid is red, white, and black (Cruella would approve) with a witch hat!
We’ll be keeping our eyes open for other Halloween droids and spooky merchandise around Disney World.
Legends of Hollywood
We found a new display in Legends of Hollywood along with a new-to-us orange T-shirt!
The T-shirt quotes one of Walt Disney’s famous phrases — “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible” — and it’s priced at $36.99.
We also found a double-sided Pandora Maleficent Charm, with Maleficent on one side in her human/fairy form on a purple background and Maleficent in her iconic dragon form on the other side with a green background.
The popular Stoney Clover Lane Princess Collection had dwindled down in terms of availability to just the backpacks during our recent trip.
Still, it could be good news for you if you had your heart set on a princess backpack!
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities
Wondering what Legacy Lightsabers you can snag right now? In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, we saw that the Darth Maul and Ahsoka Tano lightsabers are currently available to purchase, among others. Darth Maul’s lightsaber is $149.99, while Ahsoka Tano’s is $219.99.
So which one would you choose, the hero’s or the villain’s?
Hollywood Studios Miscellaneous Updates
Goofy checked into an ill-fated vacation at the Hollywood Tower Hotel recently (otherwise known as the Tower of Terror!).
It was a really fun seeing Goofy in such an unexpected place. Be on the lookout for him at Tower of Terror during your next visit!
