Always dreamed of going to space? How about eating in space? How about eating in space in Disney World?
Well, get ready to check off all those boxes at EPCOT’s newest restaurant, Space 220! This immersive, space-themed restaurant was announced a number of years ago and was set to open way back in the winter of 2019. Its opening date has been delayed by quite some time. Not too long ago Disney shared that it would be opening in mid-September of this year. But now we’ve FINALLY got an update on just what day you’ll be able to live out all your astronaut and foodie dreams!
According to Disney, Space 220 will finally open on September 20th, 2021!

Disney has still not indicated whether Space 220 will be accepting reservations when it opens and, if so, when reservations will become available to book. We’ll keep an eye out for updates on that.
You might be wondering what makes Space 220 so special. Well, Space 220 (which is located near Mission: SPACE in EPCOT), is quite unique. When you arrive at the restaurant, you’ll first check in to the Space 220 Departure Lounge in Future World.
Then, you’ll board one of the two “Space Elevators” that will “transport” you what seems like 220 miles above the Earth (hence the name Space 220!) to the Centauri Space Station. On the elevator, you can look down at a viewport to see EPCOT shrinking away. If you look up, you’ll see the space station you’re approaching.
Once you get off the space elevator and enter the space station, you’ll be surrounded by a panoramic view of Earth below.
You’ll also get to check out some work and leisure activities going on beyond the windows of the space station.

In terms of the dining options here, the Space 220 menu is set to feature some “culinary wonders” created by Executive Chef Marc Kusche.
There will be a prix fixe menu at lunch and a prix fixe menu offered at dinner.

We can’t wait to learn more about Space 220 and get the chance to eat there (and share all of our thoughts with you) once it opens. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we find.

Mr . JOHN says
The 220 restaurant is it going to be a place that a lot of people will go and have lunch and dinner . Theme restaurants do good and bad . I guess people really want to see it and get something to enjoy . Is it expensive probably prefix sound a lot of money . If you are a star war fan you want to be there to enjoy the theme and food .Is it going to last to make any real money .
