The Main Street Confectionery has officially reopened with a NEW look and new treats!!
We got an early peek at this renovated spot yesterday and even got the chance to munch down on Skittles fudge, and M&M’S brownie pies!! Today, we came back for the Confectionery’s official reopening to try some more of the treats you can find here — and this time we went for a chocolate OVERLOAD! 🍫
As we mentioned above, the Confectionery has a new look, a new ordering set-up, and lots of new treats!
Inside the Confectionery you’ll find a candy wall…
…a place to make custom popcorn…
…pre-packaged treats…
…and more.

We decided today was the day for a chocolate OVERLOAD so we started things off with a Chocolate (Snickers) Cupcake! This treat is made of a chocolate cupcake topped with chopped Snickers, butter cream frosting, caramel and peanuts. The cupcake itself was also topped with some small pieces of Snickers.

But, if you LOVE that peanut butter flavor, Snickers, peanuts, and chocolate, we have a feeling this is one you’ll really enjoy!
If you like chocolate but aren’t a fan of peanuts and peanut butter, then you’ll want to steer clear of this sweet treat.
You can try it yourself from the Confectionery for $5.49.
Next up, we went for the Mickey Marshmallow! This treat features a Mickey-shaped marshmallow with M&M’S minis milk chocolate candies and a milk chocolate coating.
Truthfully, this marshmallow treat was pretty basic — marshmallow, chocolate, and M&M’S. But, sometimes basic is a good thing! This treat was actually very tasty!
If you love marshmallows, chocolate, and M&M’S, then we have a feeling you’ll enjoy this. There is a LOT of marshmallow though, so if you don’t want to eat that much marshmallow, you might want to opt for a krispie treat with some similar toppings instead!
If you want to grab the Mickey Marshmallow, it can be all yours for $5.99.
Finally, we ended our chocolate extravaganza with some Chocolate (Twix) Fudge! This treat is essentially made of chocolate fudge with chopped Twix inside of and on top of it.
This fudge was great! If you’re a chocolate lover and a fan of Twix, this will be right up your alley. The chocolate is very rich though, so you’ll probably want to share the fudge with some friends, or just eat it over the course of the day rather than all at once.
If you aren’t a fan of rich chocolate and Twix, then you’ll probably want to opt for some of the other creations here.
You can try the Twix Fudge for $4.99.
On a return trip to the Confectionery later in the day, we just HAD to try the new create-your-own popcorn creation section. At the Kernel Kitchen you can pick a popcorn flavor (caramel, rainbow, butter, or cheddar), a syrup (dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or white chocolate), and then select from a multitude of candies to top off your treat (we’re talking M&M’S, pretzels, marshmallows — the WORKS).
The custom popcorn is priced at $12.99 for 2 toppings and a syrup, $13.99 for 3 toppings and a syrup, and $1.00 for additional toppings.
For our creation, we went with a sweet and salty mix. We got caramel popcorn, dark chocolate syrup, and 2 toppings — pretzels and Twix! Let’s just say, we’re pretty proud of how awesome this looks.
In terms of how it tastes — it was actually really good! The toppings are all placed on top, so if you want them to be more distributed, you’ll need to shake the bag up a bit.
The pretzels we got were sadly a bit stale, but we still think the overall combo of flavors was a good mix. We do think the mix will start to get a bit soggy over time though. So, you might not want to wait too long to eat this snack!
Overall, the Kernel Kitchen is a really fun concept that allows you to put a unique spin on a classic treat. At $12.99, $13.99, or more (if you add more toppings), it is a pretty high price point though, especially considering the fact that a regular bag of buttery popcorn in Disney World will typically set you back $5.25. Still, if you’re looking for something unique and you’ve got a lot of popcorn lovers in the group, this could be a fun snack.
