Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is in just TWO DAYS.
There are LOTS new and exciting things debuting in Disney World this Friday — from Magic Kingdom’s Disney Enchantment fireworks show to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT’s France. Now, though, it’s been announced that October 1st will bring the return of some old favorites as well.
Several World Showcase live performers will be returning to EPCOT this Friday (and it seems like they’re back for good)! Live entertainment was placed on hiatus when Disney World reopened in 2020, which meant that many beloved performers did not return.
Now, though, some live entertainment is coming BACK. The Japan Pavilion drummers, Matsuriza Taiko, announced that they will return to EPCOT on October 1st for shows Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 11:30AM, 12:30PM, 1:30PM, 2:30PM, 3:30PM, 4:30PM, and 5:30PM.
In their announcement, the traditional drumming group said, “Looking forward to seeing all your beautiful faces again. PLEASE COME SAY HI!!! We cannot wait to see you and perform for you at our Pagoda home once again. This will truly be the world’s most magical celebration!”
Over in the Italy Pavilion, Master Juggler Sergio will be back to his Old-World act. Expect to see Sergio in Italy at 12:30PM, 1:35PM, and 2:35PM on the 1st.
AND, Canada will see a return of performers with the folk band, Alberta Bound, gracing the Mill Stage once again! The band announced the return and noted showtimes of 2PM, 3:15PM, 5PM, 6:15PM, and 7:30PM.
Wow! That’s some exciting news! EPCOT has felt like it’s missing something with such limited entertainment over the past year and we’re so excited to get to see these acts again. As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney World updates!
