It’s Disney World’s 50th anniversary today — can you believe it?!

The celebrations are in full swing, with new decorations, shows, special food items, and more. We’re here in the parks checking everything out, including in Magic Kingdom, where there is SO MUCH happening today! With exciting things like new fireworks and character cavalcades, it’s easy for smaller things to be overlooked, but a very special part of Magic Kingdom has made its long-awaited return today, so come check it out!

The pianist is BACK at Casey’s Corner!! It’s a little busy, but we still heard the familiar plunk of the keys. We spotted the ragtime pianist outside of Casey’s on Main Street, U.S.A. today, playing that bright white piano — just in time for the big celebration!

The hot dog joint reopened this summer, however, the pianist didn’t return with the restaurant. But, back in July, we saw a job opening for a Casey’s Corner Pianist on Disney’s careers website! Disney was hiring one full-time pianist as well as some Sub Performers for this position — and it’s safe to say they were successful!

The piano music adds a wonderful touch of magic to the area. It’s perfect for sitting in front of Cinderella Castle while eating some corn dog nuggets with plastic cheese😌.
