So many things have reopened around Disney World this year!

The Confectionery is open again!

From restaurants to hotels to shows, there has been a lot going on. But, even with all of that, some things still remain closed. But today, another part of Disney World has reopened — let’s go check it out!

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside has REOPENED!

That’s right, folks. We told you back in July that the resort would be reopening, and the day is finally here. Port Orleans Riverside has been closed since Disney World shut down in March of 2020 due to the global pandemic.

We went on over to the resort today for the grand opening, and were met with balloons, banners, and a red carpet! So fancy, Riverside.

Heading inside, the lobby area is as beautiful as ever.

The check-in area is pretty grand! Just look at those high ceilings and architecture. Do you spot the hidden Mickeys?

Let’s go see what else is open.

Riverside is back!

Fulton’s General Store is back, where you can pick up all your souvenirs.

Need some Mickey Ears?

And, the River Roost is open starting at 5PM. Here you can get light bites and some classic New Orleans cocktails.

Riverside Mill Food Court is also open! Their current hours are from 7AM to 11PM every day. This is where you can grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner and enjoy food inspired by Southern Louisiana style cooking.

We’re ready for Southern Louisiana style food again

The pools are also open at Port Orleans Riverside! We saw lifeguards at the ‘Ol Man Island pool this morning.

Swimming in October? Yes, please!

We took a stroll next to the Sassagoula River, which was looking absolutely gorgeous.

So peaceful

On the river, we spotted a Sassagoula River Ferryboat. These run between the hotel and Disney Springs.

Moving on, we went to take a look at a couple of the buildings that have reopened with the hotel.

This building is SO PRETTY with the big trees and the courtyard with the fountain. Riverside is a beautiful hotel!
