2022 is set to be a fun year for runners as several runDisney events will be coming back to Walt Disney World, including the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, the Princess Half Marathon Weekend, and the exciting, NEW Springtime Surprise Weekend!
We’ve already shared a look at the different races that will be available as part of the Springtime Surprise Weekend and select fans were able to register early, but now we’ve got another runDisney update!
General registration for runDisney’s 2022 Springtime Surprise Weekend is now available! Registration opened early for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members recently, but today it opened at 2PM EST for ALL fans to access. Registration for the virtual races will be available on December 14th.
The race weekend will take place from March 31st through April 3rd, 2022. During the weekend, guests will get the chance to participate in various races. There’s the Expedition Everest 5K (currently sold out)…
…the Race for the Taste 10K ($135)…
…the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-miler ($190)…
…and the runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge (currently sold out).
Fans can also participate in some Springtime Surprise Sunrise Yoga on March 31st for $95.
As of about 3:05PM ET, the Expedition Everest 5K and the runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge have sold out already. The remaining events are still available as of this time, but runDisney races and related events can fill up really fast! If you’re hoping to run in one of these races or participate in one of the events, you’ll want to act quickly!
Also, keep in mind that the cost of these events will increase starting March 1st. For example, the Race for the Taste 10K is $135 right now, but will cost $145 if a guest registers after February 28th, 2022.
Again, registration for virtual races will begin on December 14th. There will be 4 different virtual race options (including the Springtime Surprise Challenge).
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more runDisney news and let you know what we find.
