If you’ve been to EPCOT in the past few years, or even just seen pictures, you know that it’s currently undergoing a BIG transformation (which is why there’s construction ALL over former Future World!).
The transformation includes things that have already been completed, like the new fountain, the France pavilion expansion, and the Creations shop. But, there are still a bunch of things in progress, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. We recently learned that the Mary Poppins attraction is on hold, and now, the attraction showing you everything coming to EPCOT for the transformation is shutting down.
The EPCOT Experience is officially closing on March 14th, 2022. This experience is an interactive exhibit that shows the future plans for EPCOT’s massive transformation.
In a post from Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley, he writes that “with the transformation now well under way” they have decided to close the EPCOT Experience and “make way for exciting new activities of the Odyssey pavilion to create a great experience for our guests.”
Riddley also wrote that since debuting in 2019, the EPCOT Experience has seen over 2 million guests. WOW!
At the end of the post, the Imagineer says they “have a lot more to share in the weeks and months ahead” and specifically calls out Journey of Water inspired by Moana and the ongoing evolution of World Celebration, so hopefully we’ll get updates about those projects soon! You can take a look at the full post below.

This is a little bit off topic, but I think it’s still pertinent. We saw the new show, ‘Harmonious’, which was okay but not spectacular. Given the choice, I’d much rather have the view of the lake back that the ugly barges that are there only for that show, have ruined. Sometimes Disney can overthink it. More is not always better.
I must agree with Charles. We were at Epcot in November and the Harmonious show was a great disappointment.
We were there in January and all 4 of us loved the Harmonious show. Truly amazing!
