Salt & Straw is a unique and popular ice cream shop that has been serving up fun flavors in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney for a while. Now, a location is FINALLY open in Disney World’s Disney Springs and we’re taking a look at how the line works at this POPULAR new spot.
Folks were lined up outside of Salt & Straw as soon as it opened this morning. This spot is popular in Disneyland so we weren’t too surprised when the line started to grow.
People are ready for ice cream
Like other popular Disney Springs spots, when the line gets too long, a virtual queue is started. We saw this happen for the first time this morning!

But it’s not limited to opening day! Whenever the line grows out of the Salt & Straw area, they’ll use the virtual queue to help manage crowds.

To sign up for the virtual queue, you can speak to the Cast Member with an iPad by the queue and give them your phone number. When it’s time for you to come join the physical queue, you’ll get a text!
