The long-awaited Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is only a few weeks away from finally opening in EPCOT! We’ve already seen what the Cast Member’s costumes look like, as well as the loading area, and the ride vehicles and we even got to RIDE IT for the first time today during a media preview event!
So, aside from bringing you a look at the one-of-a-kind storyline and answering your questions about whether the omnicoaster will make you sick for the rest of the day, we’re sharing a look at what might be your favorite part of the entire ride!
That’s right We’re going BACK inside Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind for a look at the queue! Disney World queues can be interactive and provide some entertainment to take away from the time spent waiting, and while we already had some details about the queue for this ride, we’re excited to finally see it in person.
The Wonders of Xandar pavilion marks EPCOT’s first official “Other-World” pavilion. The idea is that Star-Lord himself loved the park so much as a child that he wanted this to be the place where Xandarians and Terrans (aka humans) meet. And, you’ll get to experience the clash of the two worlds from the start of the queue as you make your way through three main sections, starting with the Galaxarium.

This planetarium-style space showcases “stars and other intergalactic wonders that connect Terra and Xandar,” to reinforce the idea that “we’re all born of the same space dust.” While you’re taking in the visuals in the Galaxarium, a supercomputer called Worldmind will provide narration and guide you through what you’re seeing!
Next, guests will move through the Xandar Gallery, home to displays that showcase the Xandarian people and their culture’s history — complete with models of starships and a Xandarian city.
Guests will also be able to catch glimpses of “Good Morning Xandar,” a talk show where a host interviews the Guardians of the Galaxy, and even view some of the clothes that Xandarians wear on the daily.
Finally, guests will move into the Phase Chamber, where all of the sudden they will be teleported from EPCOT to a Nova Corps Starcharter cruiser and taught about the Cosmic Generator — a piece of Xandarian tech that “creates jump points,” or basically wormholes that can transport people through time.
From there, guests are taken to the loading area…

Now, the ride is awesome (so awesome that we went on it THREE times!), but the queue is seriously cool in how it tells the story that gets you to your high-speed, rotating, roller coaster ride. We felt like we were stepping right into the middle of a Marvel movie!
✨The vibes of this queue are 💯🤌 #cosmicrewind #DisneyWorld50 #mediaevent pic.twitter.com/GcWcm0Xahm

Of course, your journey on the Nova Corps Starcharter doesn’t necessarily go as planned once you’re on the ride, but the journey to get there is pretty nice! We’ll be bringing you a look at all the other details inside EPCOT’s newest attraction, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!

I hope this ride lives up to the hype as Ratatouille was a bit of a disappointment.
For an attraction that takes 30 minutes to navigate, I wonder how long the que is and how long (time wise) is the actual ride. Not impressed with the que unless you are familiar with the movie. To those of us who have not seen or are unfamiliar with the movie or characters, it is all a lot of dark lighting and walking.
