As part of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, a whole slew of new entertainment has come to the parks!
There are new nighttime fireworks shows like Disney’s Enchantment at Magic Kingdom and Harmonious at EPCOT. But over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a new type of show emerged. Disney KiteTails has been delighting guests since it first debuted, and it was recently announced that the show would be reimagined. Disney hasn’t revealed exactly when the changes will debut, but we spotted one sign that they could be on their way soon!
Right now, when you head to Disney’s website to see what times Disney KiteTails will take place, you’ll find the regular showtimes listed — 11:15AM, 12:15PM, 1:15PM, 3:15PM, 4:15PM, and 5:15PM. But, beginning May 27th, there are NO daily showtimes available.
Disney had previously revealed that the updated KiteTails show would be shorter so that they could have more frequent shows throughout the day. So, this could be when the changes debut — we’ll just have to wait and see!
Once updated, guests will be able to view the show from anywhere around the Discovery River Lagoon, not just the amphitheater — so, it’ll be important to know what time you want to be in that area. Of course, we’ll be keeping an eye out for when the showtimes are updated and if this really is when the change will happen so be sure to stay tuned to DFB!

Maybe people don’t like it. The show could be a filler until Nemo reopens.
The imagineers have not been able to put a show together that is in the “Gotta See” category like Fantasmic att the Studio’s or Illuminations at Epcot. Even the Harmonious show pales to the iconic Sphere at the World Showcase Lagoon. Todays imagineers just don’t seem to posses the ground breaking Magic that the earlier teams had. Maybe some new management could help.
