Ever sat down and thought “gosh, I wish I could get something printed onto my drink at La Cava del Tequila in EPCOT?” Yes? No, but now you’re 100% thinking that? Well Disney’s latest creation is for YOU!
Over at La Cava del Tequila, you can get a number of drinks and snacks that are incredibly unique. From the Lily Aldridge margarita to a drink in an ice cream cone — there’s a lot to pick from. But now something NEW is coming that could take your drinks to a whole other level!
Recently, Ricky Debler, an executive at Palmas Restaurant Group (the group that runs several of the restaurants at the Mexico pavilion) posted something very interesting on his Instagram. Can you guess what it is?
It looks like printed images are coming soon to select drinks at La Cava del Tequila!
The video Debler posted shows a printing machine creating a drinkable design on a drink. This particular design appears to be a logo for La Cava del Tequila. But could some other designs be coming soon?
La Cava later teased a video of the printer in action with the words “Coming Soon” on top of the drink!

This reminds us a lot of the machines utilized by Joffrey’s Coffee to print Disney characters…
…and even FACES onto their coffee drinks. Could FACE TEQUILA become a thing?! That wasn’t specifically displayed or identified in the video Debler posted, but we’ll definitely be on the lookout for more details!
From what we understand, La Cava del Tequila does need to have some kind of “head” to print on, so the drinks that will be eligible for this particular feature may be more limited.
We can’t wait to see exactly what kinds of designs will be available, how much this feature will cost (at Joffrey’s Coffee, the design typically costs an extra $0.50, but pricing information hasn’t been released for La Cava del Tequila’s version), and when it’ll be available. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more news and let you know what we find.
