NEW and Returning Treats Come to Gideon's Bakehouse in Disney World This Weekend!

Ah, the infamous Peanut Butter Recall of 2022. The lack of peanut butter is affecting PB&Js all around the country, and Disney isn’t immune to the recall either.

Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs is home to loaded cookies, cake slices, and specialty coffees! And what ingredient is often found in these treats? Peanut butter! And can you guess what their limited-edition flavor was this month? That’s right, peanut butter. Needless to say, they had to make some changes…and their replacement limited-edition flavors look amazing!

Gideon’s Bakehouse released limited-edition peanut butter treats for the month of May, including the Peanut Butter Crunch, Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl, and PB&J Cake Slices. And unfortunately, the peanut butter recall has cut the tenure of these limited-edition treats short. But no worries! Some popular limited-edition flavors will be taking over instead! Gideon’s Bakehouse took to Instagram to announce the new flavors being offered this weekend.

BOO! The Frankenstein Cookie is back! It has chocolate, cookies and cream, and M&Ms. It’s one of the most popular limited-edition flavors offered.

Hope you’re ready for some heat, because the Eternal Flame Cookie is returning! It has a special house-made mix of ancho, cayenne, and cinnamon spice, infused with the essence of cherry, topped with chocolate-covered cherries.

The EXTRA Spicy Cookie!

And if you’re looking for a slice of cake, there’s the Dark Coffee Cake Slices! It’s also known as the Pipistrello Cake! It’s the cake version of the Dark Coffee Cake Cookie we’ve already seen. It’s a three-layer cake, smothered in a Cinnamon Buttercream and topped with crunchy Butter Crumbs. This new offering will be making its very first appearance this weekend!

Gideon’s Bakehouse also shared that they’ll continue testing alternatives during the current ingredient shortage. But in the meantime, stop by Disney Springs to give these limited-edition treats a try! And for the latest Disney news, stay tuned to DFB!
