If there’s one thing you can count on at Disney World in the summertime, it’s rain.
It will almost certainly rain at some point during the day in the summer. Even on days where it says there’s no chance of rain, we’ve been surprised by a quick shower. So, it’s good to be prepared with the essentials, especially on days like today, when there is severe weather in the forecast.
A flood advisory is in effect in Brevard, Indian River, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola Counties in Florida until 7:15PM EDT today, according to News 6 WKMG.

Disney World is located in both Orange and Osceola Counties, so be aware that the area is currently under this flood advisory. Flooding due to excessive rainfall is expected, particularly in low-lying and poor drainage areas, according to WESH.
Disney can and has experienced flooding before when large amounts of rain have fallen. Back in March, we saw flooding in the streets of Hollywood Studios.
Also know that this weather advisory could cause things to close at Disney World like outdoor attractions, transportation like the Skyliner, and food locations like the booths at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival.
