It’s never too early to start thinking about the holidays… right?
Disney recently announced so much holiday news! For example, we know that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is returning to the Magic Kingdom this year, and that the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be returning, as well. Disney also gave us a sneak peek at the merchandise we can expect this holiday season, including two new pairs of ears!
The entire holiday collection is truly something, but these ears were certainly a choice. First up, we have the Toy Story holiday ears.
These ears feature a green, purple, and orange headband and bow with a Christmas present on the center of the bow. The ears themselves are made to look like Christmas ornaments, with Hamm the piggy bank in one ornament and Bo Peep’s sheep in the other. We’re really not sure where this design came from, but we’re not mad about it (and even kind of like it!). These ears definitely get bonus points for originality.
If you’re not the biggest Toy Story fan, Disney will also be releasing a more traditional pair of ears, as well.
These ears are much simpler and classic-looking than the holiday Minnie ears we’ve seen before, with just a green velvet headband and ears, red bow, and white pom detailing in the center of the bow and along the edges of the ears. But sometimes, simpler isn’t always better. The pom pom in the center of the bow is pretty big and there’s something just a little off about the green color (dare we say it kind of reminds us of grass?). They definitely are very vintage-looking though, so if that’s the vibe you’re going for this holiday season, you might be a fan!
Both ears are definitely something you’ll either love or hate. If Minnie ears aren’t your thing, don’t worry, because Disney has you covered with two new spirit jerseys, a Loungefly backpack, and tons of Christmas ornaments.
And if you’re in the Disney parks starting today through this weekend, you can get a jumpstart on the holiday cheer with some limited time Halfway to Holidays treats in both Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
What do you think of Disney’s new holiday ears? Do you love them or hate them? Let us know in the comments!
