If you were a big fan of the live-action The Lion King movie, we’ve got good news!
For quite some time, we’ve known that Disney has been working on a live-action prequel to The Lion King, but now we’ve got MORE info!
The live-action prequel will be entitled Mufasa: The Lion King. We got a peek at the logo for the film during a D23 Expo presentation.
According to Walt Disney Studios, Mufasa: The Lion King will be released July 5, 2024.
According to the last updates we saw for this film, Barry Jenkins was set to direct, and Aaron Pierre was set to play Young Mufasa while Kelvin Harrison Jr. would play Young Scar (Taka being his real name). We’ll keep an eye out for any changes or updates to that.
