One of the most popular characters in Disney World isn’t necessarily a character you can meet from a movie or TV show.
Nope, it’s a little orange bird, aka Orange Bird, who’s the mascot for the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom. This little bird is so popular that he got his own 50th anniversary statue, and he appears on a variety of merchandise, from Crocs to scarves to MagicBand+ designs. Well, now, there’s a NEW Orange Bird souvenir you can take home with you.
First a little history. In case you didn’t know it, Orange Bird was created in 1971 (meaning he’s 50 years old just like Disney World!). He was created as the mascot for the Florida Citrus Commission in exchange for its sponsorship of the Enchanted Tiki Room and Sunshine Tree Terrace. And more importantly, he’s still around!
Of course, that means you’ll see him on the iconic sign at Sunshine Tree Terrace — and now you can take that sign home with you! Okay, well, it isn’t THAT sign, per se, but it’s a replica of that sign!
We found this sign at Bonjour Village Gifts in Magic Kingdom for $150 — so if you want to take a piece of Disney World history home with you, now you can — in a way!
This is also a super unique souvenir that would make a great gift for any Orange Bird fan, don’t you think? We love when things like this pop up in the parks! Once you’re done shopping, you can pop over to Sunshine Tree Terrace to enjoy a delicious Citrus Swirl!

I’m confused. Is it a replica? Or the original sign that’s been replaced?

Hi Brandon. It’s a replica. 🙂

Anybody know what stores are selling this at Disney Springs? Thanks
