Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 claimed the number one spot as the most anticipated blockbuster of 2023. This is the third movie in the incredibly popular Guardians of the Galaxy series. This is also the final movie in the series hence the anticipation.
The first full-length trailer has been released and it features many fan-favorite characters from the first two films such as Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot,. Guardians 3 releases in theaters on May 5th, 2023.

Hmmmmm….interesting how the films on this most anticipated list are ALL sequels!! Well, aside from the Mario Brothers film, but it’s still centered on an already established intellectual property! Hollywood is definitely desperate to make “low risk” films that they know will have some box office demand, but sequels don’t seem to be a sustainable option until the end of time. Besides, how many people ever say “This sequel is my favorite movie ever!”? It sort of feels like audiences are being robbed of truly new and exceptional stories to enjoy.

Guess they don’t care about animated/kids movies anymore. Given the last two dismal flops it’s understandable.
